Gathered around the work of Robert Legault, a musician still considered today as one of Quebec’s greatest harmonica players, Les Mercenaires du terroir is composed of four essential multi-instrumentists from the trad scene: David Brunelle (harmonica, fiddle), André Marchand (guitar), Dâvi Simard (fiddle, feet) and Louis-Simon Lemieux (fiddle, harmonica, guitar, feet).

Known for the refinement of their music and the energy they bring to dance evenings, the quartet will be accompanied by Gaspé’s own Hélène Gaulin on calling, who is well known at dances throughout the region!

For her first time participating in the festival, she is eager to bring to life and pass on the typical repertoire of the Gaspé Peninsula.

We look forward to seeing many of you on our dance floor. Let the evening begin, everyone in your places!
