The Green Brigade of La Virée Trad is an essential component of our eco-responsibility approach, because as a public festival, we must lead by example.
- The Green Brigade allows us to ensure better management of waste produced during the festival, by our teams as well as by festival-goers and artists. This is why we are putting in place, with the help of the Town of Carleton-sur-Mer, the technical means to sort waste:
- Recyclable waste
- Refundable waste
- Compostable waste
- Non-recoverable waste
- The Green Brigade also plays an educational role for the people present. By raising awareness among festival-goers regarding the impact of waste on the environment and by supporting them in good sorting practices, we act so that these gestures become second nature to our public.
But the Green Brigade is above all a great partnership with the CÉGEP de Carleton-sur-Mer, the teachers and students, who each year make this project possible by giving their time during these three days of the festival. Thanks to them!
